Looking for Inspiration in the Clouds Above Second Life

Takeuti Town (moderate)

I have a fairly sizeable  parcel but, ever since I stopped breeding horses, I really haven’t done much with it. Spending so much time on full-sim builds, I forget that you can do a lot with whatever you have.

As proof, and for inspiration, I give you a 3600 sqm parcel high in the air above the mainland. Takeuti Town is a great example of what can be done with limited space and a vision.

Building high off the ground, of course, means that the atmosphere you’re trying to create isn’t interrupted by your neighbour’s store or *cough* horse farm. This location gives a real sense of place, even if you can’t walk for miles down the narrow streets.

The problem with using great builds as inspiration is that they can also be intimidating. I don’t know if I can accomplish something like this, but if I ever get an actual idea you never know.

If you want to check this out, make sure you’re wearing your translator. English is not spoken in this tiny slice of Japan and they’re doing just fine without it. :)

  1. I’m going to visit this because I’ve been daydreaming about creating an Havana sim. It’s a matter of learning all those skills to do it.

And why would you ever want to stop breeding horses? Oh, never mind; have a great weekend. :)
