Date Night? Go to the Carneval in Second Life

I had some difficulty moving past the entrance to today’s destination. If you’re a photographer be prepared … everywhere you look there will be an image you want to capture. Even the landing spot is remarkable.

Madpea Games↑ has opened their latest offering. I saw a lot of artists I know, and storytellers, and a few explorers, but mostly I saw couples. If you want a post-Halloween date location with an abundance of things to do in an environment that is stunning in its textures, ambience, and build, then you want to visit Carneval↑.

“The stale smell of the air and the nearly tangible sensation of despair will make you want to turn back before even entering. Your throat feels tight and eyes are watering, trying their best to adjust to the dustiness. Deep inside you know already that death lurks around here, yet you’re mesmerized and unable to run away. The calls of dancing souls have captured your mind and you feel the sudden urge to dive in to unite with them. What you don’t realize is that, I am and you are, one of them already.

Ladies and Gentlemen, be heartlessly welcome to the MadPea Carneval. Full of frights and cloaked in shadows, the Carneval stands still, frozen in time. There are whispers and scaretales of its frightening adventures, haunted rides and unparalleled mysteries. Those who seek adventure are encouraged to step right up and prepare for an experience that will leave you begging for more.”

I once had a christmas date who took me to see Raging Bull↑ (you youngsters can look that up) – trust me, he didn’t win any points. Violence is just not something I put in the romantic category – this, however, is much more on target. It’s definitely creepy, but it also lends itself to an extended period of bonding. :)

If you’re like me and have a phobia about things like roller coasters, this one is out of your worst nightmares. There are other rides and games and activities. It will take you hours to explore the entire build and experience everything. It’s well worth the investment of time.

I need to share another quote from their notecard: “An incredible amount of hours, love, sweat, blood and passion was put into making this experience for you. We sincerely hope you enjoy and come back with your friends. You are the reason we keep creating. :)”

There’s a lot of passion in Second Life. Builders, artists, designers and scripters invest a huge amount of time, energy and devotion to what they do. This is a great example!

You just know that anything with Claudia222 Jewell’s↑ Cthluhu as a centerpiece is going to be compelling. Strange, but beautiful and compelling. This is a must see.

    • /me grins – Trust me, you’ll love this place! As for a date, I’m thinking it’s early in the relationship. A way to spend time without uncomfortable pauses and/or get to know each other.
Either that or you’re a longer term relationship looking for new things to do.
Just consider me “Ask Honour”. :p
