It’s been more than a year since I visited Gallery Sayopiyo↑ and that’s just far too long. The name comes from the collaboration of partners Sayoko Moonwall↑ and Yoyo Quartz↑.

I met the two of them briefly at an SL9B wrap party – they had the most exquisitely crafted avatars. I wish I had the talent to do portraits, they’d be amazing subjects. They are also two of the most charming and gracious individuals I’ve met inworld.

Sayoko is primarily a photographer and Yoyo is a graphic artist. You can see videos of some of their work on their blog↑, as well as some images of pieces that are on display at their second gallery. There is a teleport link to it from this location.

In a world full of unusual and beautiful gallery spaces, Sayopiyo↑ stands out. I’m not showing you the actual “building” (believe me, it’s unique) because I really can’t do it justice. This is a wonderful place to visit and a great way to start off the day. :)

If your definition of fusion involves something like french cuisine with an asian twist, then Second Life has some surprises for you.

I landed on a sim named Goth↑ to find a build called Alice is Wonderland (I think it’s a typo, the word is “in” elsewhere) which combines elements of the well known story with steampunk, roleplay, combat, romance, and dancing. It’s doubtful that you could become bored in this type of a world. :)

“Down the rabbit hole” has a variety of meanings – for my purposes, we’ll ignore all of the ones which would get my blog an X rating. I’ve always used it to indicate a situation which is fantastical and out of the ordinary. One which doesn’t necessarily follow the rules of life as I know it. I usually use the term in a positive sense.

The first time I worked on a large community event it felt like I’d entered another world. There was a very large group of people (I mean in the hundreds) involved and they were all working together collaboratively and with spirit. It was the ultimate in the cliche of a large family-like atmosphere. We worked very hard and laughed so much that the source of exhaustion was often blurry. I had the best time of any life I can remember.

This will be the 10th anniversary of our world and the event will be very, very, special. Get involved! You don’t have to have mad technical skills – it’s about being a part of a team and creating something. Training will be provided if necessary – the point is to join in and be part of something.

It’s true that I’ve not been posting as much as usual. I feel like I owe you an explanation, but this is just between you and me. It’s a secret and I’m begging you not to tell anybody! This is one of those “once in a lifetime” opportunities and I don’t want to blow it.

I was contacted by a man who represents a woman in a royal family (you’ll understand that I need to keep the names confidential). She has $184 million that she wants to invest in a venture as a silent partner. I know what you’re thinking, but it’s not one of those scams – I have to prove myself.

First I had to give my business profile, a justification for considering me. Then I had to do a proposal that included a guaranteed annual return of 10% to the investor. Now, I have no doubt that my venture will be able to satisfy that requirement but still, I had to make sure it was a brilliant proposal.

I’m waiting to hear if she’s chosen me as her business partner – the suspense is very stressful. I promise, when this happens, that I won’t forget you or the others who have supported me so long.
